Oaks attached to religious figures

The oak has always been revered since the Greeks and the Gauls. Many are in France and are often attached to the figure of a saint, such as the oaks of Saint Genevieve, the Virgin, Saint Anne, Saint Barbe, Saint Joseph, and Saint Fiacre. The oak of Allouville, nearly 1,200 years old, is dedicated to Notre-Dame de la Paix (Our Lady of Peace). Its trunk, almost entirely hollow, shelters two chapels and, yet, is covered with foliage and acorns every year.
