On April 3, the team released 10 scarlet macaws at Macaw Mountain Bird Park Reserve. The birds are part of a group that was not able to be released in 2020, due to Covid 19 restrictions. Now, these birds fly freely in the Sacred Valley of the Scarlet Macaw. The team continues to monitor these animals, with the invaluable support of local communities. Indeed, thanks to a great awareness campaign for several years, the inhabitants are now actively contributing to the project by transmitting their observations, hosting nesting boxes, or even making water and fruit available to them.
