The Hermann's tortoise (Testudo hermanni hermanni) is a wild reptile that requires protection organized within its natural environment. Contrary to popular belief, captivity does not preserve it from danger. On the contrary, it leads to reproduction difficulties due to the lack of space, deformations linked to nutritional deficiencies, and a proliferation of diseases resulting from the individuals' multiplication and proximity.
