North Pleiades and Unyee Island
1
0
The rocky aspect and the cliffs of the first islet of the North Pleiades contrast with the white sand bordered coast of the neighboring Unyee island. Located on the western part of Ouvéa, the North and South Pleiades preceded the formation of the atoll. The Unyee pass, which separates the islet from the island, is a place of passage for certain pelagic species in particular the patrols of manta or leopard rays which occupy cleaning stations at the foot of the cliffs.
