C'est d'abord son parcours qui a fait le succès de la Normandy Channel Race.
Un parcours d’environ 1000 milles en Manche, Mer Celtique et Mer d’Irlande au départ et retour de la Ville de Caen en Normandie ; une course en double qui permet de mener les Class 40 à tout leur potentiel.
Le jour du départ, les bateaux quittent le bassin Saint-Pierre pour se diriger vers les écluses de Ouistreham.
