The white rhinoceros is a strict vegetarian, able to eat daily about 2% of its weight in plants. It grinds them with its wide and flat molars that it rubs against each other. The bacterial fermentations of its intestine accelerate the digestion of vegetable fibers. It needs to drink everyday in order to facilitate the digestion process, but it could stay up to 4 days without drinking if needed.
