Nile crocodiles, webbed hind feet
Young Nile crocodiles have a relatively light color, from yellow-green to brown. They tend to darken with age, until their skin is almost black. Their powerful feet have claws, especially useful for traction on land but also to dig nests before laying eggs. Their hind feet are webbed, characteristic that helps to move quickly underwater.
