The Southern White-crowned Shrike is an African passerine of the Laniidae family. Small to medium in size, it has an elongated body, rounded wings and a long tail. Its plumage is in discreet tones of brown, gray or black, but always includes white. The black mask and the white crown it has are characteristic. Its beak is strong and crooked at its end.
