River navigation in Paris
0
0
The Seine is continuously the artery of busy river traffic, with barge pushers playing a key role. The agricultural and construction sectors are major users of inland waterway transport. The city of Paris is also home to many cruise ships that allow visitors to discover the monuments of the capital. Near the Eiffel Tower, floating restaurants are moored at the quay. A dozen or so Parisian holiday ports are equipped to accommodate houseboats on a permanent basis. The most important port is that of the Champs-Elysées, which extends from the Alexandre-III bridge to the Orsay museum, on the right bank, and which has 70 boats.
