Nautilus did not survive despite the efforts of the association

At the end of July, the Care center of the association Te mana o te moana* welcomed a green turtle found weakened, floating and dehydrated by a young man who was sailing around the island in Tahaa. Named Nautilus, the name of the boat, it was taken care of by the association team. Its critical condition stayed stable as a first step. The carers and vets of the association administered her an antibiotic treatment by injection and ensured hydration orally. However, its thinness was worrying.
Despite all the efforts of the association, Nautilus did not survive. Sometimes, the health of the turtles Te mana o te moana receive is so bad that it does not allow the team to save them. Always a difficult moment for the members of the association.
On a positive note, Okely which joined the Sea turtle care center over a year ago is continuing its progress, for the greatest pleasure of the whole team!
