The dining room of Villa Majorelle has rounded ceilings bordered with wood frames. A frieze, painted by Francis Jourdain, runs across the upper part of the walls. It consists of a saraband of geese, ducks, and rabbits. The farm animals are surrounded by luxuriant nature, represented by a pear tree loaded with fruits and mushrooms multiplying among flowers. More tapestry than painting, the Art Nouveau frieze exalts nature in all its forms.
