The Scandola Nature Reserve is one of the few places where Ospreys breeding pairs nest. Every year, they return to the same nesting site with the same partner before returning to North Africa and Mauritania. From this natural watchtower on a cliff or on a rocky islet, the male waits for fish while the female shades the young from the Mediterranean sun.
