In 1980, the Jeujura company in Saint-Germain-en-Montagne created saloons to be built inspired by the Wild West which encountered significant success. In 2012, it merged with Maison Vilac which manufactures small Jura chalets among other things. The beech, pine, or boxwood used come from French forests managed in a responsible and sustainable way. The water-based dyes are guaranteed VOC-free (volatile organic compounds), allergen-free, phthalate-free, and lead-free.
