Mysterious forest of Verzy

Montagne de Reims Regional Nature Park's landscape alternates between forests, fields, and vines. The wine route crosses it over 43 miles (70 km). The park is home to peculiar forests, such as the Verzy forest that mainly consists of beeches with twisted branches and trunks of unknown origin called Faux. Over 71 acres (29 ha), the biological sanctuary of Verzy is the world's largest site of faux trees, with approximately a thousand individuals.
