Dry stone walls must be carefully maintained so as not to be weakened by the deformations of their structure. It relies on the stacking of stones, without mortar nor binder, thanks to the simple balance of their shapes and weight. The municipality of Gorbio, in the Alpes-Maritimes department, belongs to the French Riviera Agglomeration Community. It regularly organizes training days in the restoration of these dry stone walls that are integral parts of its landscape heritage, in partnership with the Council for Architecture, Urbanism, and Environment of the Alpes-Maritimes.
