Masked Moray on its guard
3
0
The masked moray owes its name to the black areas that appear under its eyes evoking a mask. Its scientific name Gymnothorax breedeni, refers to its naked (gymnos) scaleless body. The masked moray compensates for its small size by its great aggressiveness and does not hesitate to bite when it is approached too closely.
