Cet accès , qui perce la muraille gallo-romaine, a été fait au 15ème siècle. Cette large ouverture, qui forme une voûte en plein cintre, donne accès à une cave-carrière de 12 mètres de long. Elle avait été à moitié remblayée au 19ème siècle.
