Mouth of the Néaoua

The Néaoua - whose mouth can be seen on this aerial view - is a river of the east coast of Grande-Terre which has its source in the Central Chain of the island and leads to the Coral Sea in the southern part of the Houaïlou delta. This river which runs along the coastal massif of the background of the photo, has been equipped since 1982 with a hydraulic dam which retains 1,750,000m³ of water.
