Moulds designed at Lalique

In this warehouse, reinforced shelves house the entire collection of moulds manufactured by the Lalique crystal works since 1921. Each cast iron or steel mould is numbered and classified to ensure the continuity of series and orders. Always designed by the designers of the moulding workshop, the moulds have hinges whose elements are adjusted to the millimetre, which prevents the piece from breaking when the mould is opened. Over the past ten years, digital design and 3D software have replaced the drawing board and machines have been developed to produce moulds directly in the factory.
