The annual production of the Société des Ocres de France factory in Gargas, in the Vaucluse department, is around 1,000 tons, some 60% of which are destined to export. The Luberon ocher thus travels around the world with customers in Europe, the USA, Canada, Africa, Japan, the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, and more recently in China. The Société des Ocres de France constitutes the last natural ocher exploitation site in France and Europe.
