Morphological variations

In plants of the same species growing in very contrasting ecological situations, we see marked anatomical and morphological changes called ‘accommodations’. This is the case for common spruces (Picea abies) installed on hilly to subalpine levels, under all exposures and on numerous pedological supports. They present multiple morphological variations linked to the environmental constraints of altitude and competition as well as to various traumas.
