I took this picture of the Sierra Madre while driving south from Monterrey, Nuevo León to San Luis Potosí, Mexico. The Sierra Madre Oriental is a range in the northeastern part of Mexico. It is part of the American Cordillera, a chain of mountain ranges that consist of an almost continuous sequence of mountains ranges that form the western “backbone” of America. The picture overlooks the Cumbres area in Nuevo León.
