The jaguarundi (Puma yagouaroundi) could be the only feline to live in couple. Several observations have indeed mentioned jaguarundis moving and hunting in pairs without making it possible to establish whether they were breeding pairs or not. Felines are usually rather solitary, lions being the only felines to really have a clan life. The communication register of the jaguarundi is in any case quite extensive since this little feline can emit thirteen different cries.
