Marcel Proust described paintings as mirrors of the world. The Villa Bon Abri, which he frequented when it belonged to his friend Claude Parent, plunges visitors into the atmosphere of the Belle Époque. After an immersive airlock with sounds and Lumière Brothers films, they enter the Salon de Musique (Music Saloon) and its masters' paintings. Marcel Proust and his deep gaze, painted by Jacques-Emile Blanche, rub shoulders with Norman landscapes by Claude Monet (views of Dieppe, Trouville), Eugène Boudin, Marcel Baschet (portrait of Debussy), René-Xavier Prinet (Cabourg Beach), or Auguste Rodin (Eternal Spring).
