The midnight sun makes photographers happy by giving them a golden hour, which does not last only half an hour around sunrise and sunset, but - depending on the latitude - extends for hours over periods up to several weeks. The sun is indeed around its lowest position near the horizon long enough to capture all its colors and avoid any precipitation in taking the best clichés.
