Metate of the White City
In Honduras, at the site of archaeological excavations of the White City, objects belonging to an unknown civilization are studied by researchers. The metates, common in Central America, were important objects in the daily life of the Mayan and non-Mayan civilization. They were used for cooking, to grind cereals or cocoa. Some were used as a sit or as a decorative object.
