Corsica is a mountainous Mediterranean island whose 650mi (1,047km) of coastline are bordered by three seas : the Tyrrhenian Sea along its eastern facade, the Ligurian Sea to the north, and the Mediterranean Sea along its western facade. Its coasts are dotted with more than a hundred islets, notably off its rocky littoral which constitutes almost 80% of the total coastline of the island.
