Èze is a small coastal and rural municipality with a low population density (235 inhabitants / km²) of 2,225 Ézasques. It is part of the French zone of the urban unit of Menton-Monaco, an international conurbation bringing together twelve municipalities, nine of which are in France, and comprising almost 70,000 inhabitants. Bordered by the Mediterranean Sea, it is subject to the specific urban planning provisions of the Coastal Law that aim to preserve its natural spaces and ecological balance.
