The granite massif of Bavella connects the Alta Rocca to the Corsican eastern coast. Characterized by its jagged peaks and large rocky walls, it has seven main needles and culminates further north at Punta di Furnellu and Punta Muvrareccia at 6227ft (1899m). It is dominated by Monte Incudine (7001ft/2134m) which is the highest peak of the Alta Rocca massif.
