Mangrove at the mouth of the Tiouandé
1
0
The mangrove at the mouth of the Tiouandé is located on the east coast of Grande-Terre on the territory of the Tiouandé tribe, between Hienghène and Touho. Different outcrops of tsingy shaped crystalline limestones stand on this narrow alluvial plain. These rocks and their numerous caves form shelters which directly overlook the mangrove and have favored the establishment of human groups in the region for almost 3,000 years.
