The first mangoes being harvested about 4 months after the end of flowering, the planting of different varieties of mangoes allows the extension of the flowering periods and of the consumption of mangoes beyond the seasonal peak of January. The mango trees most frequently encountered on Grande-Terre are the Irwin (28%), Peters (18%), Van Dyke (11%) varieties with a seasonal production in January but also the Labbé (27%) with an early production in November/December and the Keitt (16%) with a late production in February/March.
