Male nyala on the edge of Olifants river

The male nyala is recognizable by its brown dress streaked vertically by a dozen of long and thin white lines with variable motive according to the individuals. The male has a pair of arched and twisted horns, and a mane running along its back.
Its ears are large and extremely mobile. They serve, in addition to its developed sense of smell, to detect the eventual arrival of a predator. This species has the largest sexual dimorphism among antelopes. Male and female may look like two different species.
