The conventual church of Mont Sainte Odile was built from 1686 to 1692. The statue of the Virgin, to whom the church is dedicated, sits above the high altar. The feet of a monstrance display the coats of arms of Strasbourg, Mulhouse, Colmar, Sélestat, and Haguenau, the five largest cities in Alsace. Its pentagon base, decorated with ivory bas-reliefs, also depicts scenes of redemption.
