In Honduras, north of Tela, a few Garifuna fishing families settled on a tongue of land located between the Caribbean Sea and the Los Micos Lagoon, in the small commune of Miami. Around the small traditional houses made of red mangrove and coconut leaves, hundreds of birds come to keep them company and also enjoy the abundance of fish, including brown pelicans and great egrets.
