Maybe not so nice to refer to this massive buffalo male as a cow as these guys have a serious temper and don’t let themselves be domesticated. The African buffalo can be found in large herds if hundreds and sometimes even thousands of animals. Adult males form bachelor groups while old bulls become solitary. These old men are often a bit grumpy and can be very unpredictable and charge you for no reason. Buffalos need to drink a lot and can therefore be found near waterholes. They often take mud baths during the heat of the day while ruminating.
