Twilight light in the arctic zone
7
0
The twilight light of polar regions - like here in the Canadian Arctic - is much more lasting than at lower latitudes, lighting up the snowy landscapes in a magnificent palette of colors. The sun remains there longer in low light because of the earth's inclination and of the roundness of the globe. One must wait until the sun is more than 18° below the horizon to perceive no more trace of sunlight.
