The Lorraine Regional Nature Park extends on nearly 542,914 acres (219,400 ha) over 11% of the Lorraine region in the departments of Meuse, Meurthe-et-Moselle, and Moselle. The numerous forests and vines valleys of the Côtes de Meuse hills are located in the heart of the Park. It also comprises the mirabelle plum orchards and cereals of the fertile Woëvre plain, also a land of water and ponds such as Madine Lake and Lachaussée's pond.
