Lorraine's green lung

The Nature Park of Lorraine constitutes a green lung at the heart of the region. Located inside its area, Madine Lake extends between three of the largest cities in the Grand Est region: Nancy, Metz, and Verdun. More than 200 species of water birds spread over the Lindre Domain, Madine Lake, and the Lachaussée Regional Nature Reserve. Seven observatories and three discovery trails have been set up to allow roaming these areas without disturbing the local fauna. Madine Lake stands at the crossroads of major migratory corridors, and the three sites are protected by Natura 2000.
