Les hiboux moyens ducs ont des yeux ultra performants pour les moments de basses lumières.
La pupille laisse passer environ 2,7 fois plus de lumière que la pupille de l’homme.
Pour arriver à une telle vision, l’oeil est tubulaire ce qui permet de concentrer la lumière sur la rétine.
Cette forme immobilise les yeux, les rapaces nocturnes peuvent pour compenser, tourner la tête et avoir une vision à plus de 270 degrés.
