The GHM foundry in Sommevoire is filled with the noises of the different casting phases. When the metal is molten, the craftsman has little time to fill the molds from which the works of art would emerge. Even though they have hardly changed since the factory opened in 1857, the gestures must be precise and constitute skilled know-how. Years of learning and experience are necessary to be admitted to handling incandescent casting that can reach 2,550° F (1,400° C).
