Liquen de escudo (parmelia sulcata)

Parmelia sulcata es un liquen folioso con un talo generalmente circular que puede variar en color desde el blanco glauco al gris en la corteza superior ; la superficie inferior es negra. El talo es ampliamente lobulado. Cada lóbulo mide entre 2 y 5 mm (0,08 a 0,20 pulgadas) de ancho, y los lóbulos se superponen.
Parmelia sulcata es una especie común en gran parte del mundo, que se encuentra en las regiones templadas a frías de los hemisferios norte y sur.
