Lion and lioness in the savannah

0
The male lion is recognizable by its mane which would serve as protection against scratches in the fight against rival males. He only occasionally hunts, his role being rather to fight the intrusions on the territory delimited by the stools and the urine as well as the threats against the group. The lionesses hunt. They are faster than males and can reach maximum speeds near 37.2miles/h (60km/h) over short distances. The adult male feeds on 15.4lbs (7kg) of meat each day against 11lbs (5kg) for the female.
