The essential wine cellar
1
0
Bottles of wine are stored in a cellar, protected from light and humidity. A cellar should be as dark as possible and equipped with low intensity bulbs. Humidity shouldn't be overlooked either. A cellar that is too dry does not keep the bottles. The corks dry and the wine evaporates. Finally, the temperature of a cellar must remain more or less constant to avoid thermal shocks that are harmful to the wine. A cellar at 53,6 °F is recommended. At this temperature, the evolution of wines is slow and can therefore keep wines longer.
