The Front de Seine towers

The Front de Seine is a concentration of high-rise buildings in the city of Paris located on the left bank of the Seine, in the 15th arrondissement. Divided between the Javel and Grenelle districts, this mixed urban planning operation combines housing and offices. Twenty or so towers of uniform height (around 100 metres) were built during the 1970s and 1990s, distributed around a concrete slab. The highlight of the district is the Front de Seine chimney, which evacuates the smoke from the heating plant of the surrounding buildings. All white and 135 metres high, it is the work of the sculptor François Stahly.
