Port-Cros National Park covers 4,200 acres (1,700 ha) of land and 7,166 acres (2,900 ha) of marine surfaces. The heart of the park, reconfigured in 2012, now consists of Port-Cros Island and the natural spaces owned by the State on Porquerolles Island as well as their marine fringe over a distance of 1,968 ft (600 m). Its adjacent 303,940 acres (123,00 ha) maritime area extends up to three nautical miles south of the Hyères Islands and constitutes the maritime replica of the park's land membership area.
