The senses of the giraffe
The giraffe has an excellent vision. It mainly perceives the position and the movement. It may distinguish colors : red, orange, yellow, green and purple. When it sees a man, it remains motionless behind the vegetation, while whisking its tail. In the case of a lion, it comes out of hiding and cranes its neck not to lose sight of it and show it. It also has a very good hearing and a very good sense of smell.
