The town of Saint-Claude is home to a Pipe and Diamond museum and a Brotherhood of master pipe makers dedicated to the most emblematic skills of this Haut-Jura region made up of vast sets of valleys and plateaus interspersed with deep valleys. It thus hides, next to the Tourist Office, the stainless steel reproduction of the largest diamond in the world (weighing 1,014 lbs / 460 kg) as well as the largest pipe in the world (1,322 lbs / 600 kg) manufactured by the technical high school of wood of Moirans-en-Montagne.
