A stained-glass window from the Chapelle du Saillant is on display at the Centre Pompidou-Metz. Entitled The Four Elements, it symbolizes the Creation of the world. The intense blue color was obtained by using acid on white glass lined with blue. The red color represents the Earth. The green vegetation is splined by darker paint which stabilizes during cooking. A large bird, the Holy Spirit, is attracted by the rays of the sun that symbolize fire and divine light. The two faces slipped into the geometric shapes are Isabelle and Guy de Lasteyrie du Saillant's, sponsors of the stained-glass windows.
