The Platforms of History

In the Quais de l'Histoire (Platforms of History) area of the Cité du Train, an ample collection of locomotives from 1844 to the present day is on display. It constitutes an immersion into the train's history through old models and wagons, sometimes prestigious. The museum shelters cars from the Orient Express, decorated by Lalique, or part of Emperor Napoleon III's personal train. They display aesthetics no longer used.
