The territory of the Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park brings together all kinds of landscapes. Among them, the emblematic mountains and summits of alpine pastures and high-altitude forests (photo) which border its eastern facade, but also predominantly industrial plateaus to the west, open valleys dedicated to agriculture, forest plateaus with cliffs and ledges overhanging small and deep valleys to the south or even bocage landscapes of rupture between the high chain of the massif and the plain bordering Switzerland.
